The clutch is going on my S4R, a mate is going to look at it Sunday to see if there is a way of adjusting it to make it last a bit longer before gettin a new one, is there a way of adjusting it or have i gotta have open wallet surgery?

Have you checked its not the master or slave cylinders? I had this probably recently and both were leaking. Much cheaper option if this is the case!

What's going?
Is it slipping or have the drive tangs gone west?
When did you last clean it?

The plates will last a lot longer than you think and the tangs will still work even beyond normal wear. The tangs on my 748 were well battered but the clutch was fine. As Stafford says really.

I barely have to let the clutch lever out and its pulling away.
Clean it! never clean it, if the weathers good enuf to get it out it gets riden.

I'd be looking to clean and check the lift from the slave and bleed if required.

thats definitely a Master/slave cylinder problem - exactly same as mine, clutch starts to grab almost instantly, Riders were very good about it and replaced both under warranty.
