Sorry about the pictures, I'll take proper ones once it's stopped raining

(It's the stripes BTW)

I've never done anything like this before and I tell you what...never again! It was so hard trying to cut around the petrol cap and ignition. The bit on the tea tray is a bit of an experiment :spin:

How can I look after it properly so that they stay on?

Any advice or comments appreciated

me I like it, and it looks like a job nicely done. Like the bit on the tea tray too.Shouldn't be too much of a problem to look after, as long you're not too vigorous when polishing it.

That looks reaaly good. Very neat job. To make it permanent it would have to be lacquered but not sure if thats possible, what with it already being painted and lacquered. It should stay put as it is though.

Thanks for the comments guys I really appreciate it! :)

Can I use my normal Turtle wax polish over it or is it best to go around it and avoid the stripe?

Pancho > If you want a set I got them form here http://carbon-trader.com/ on his ebay shop. Just tell him what colour you want, you'll need to buy 2 kits and he'll send one free along with Ducati Corse badges

As for the polish I just meant is it OK to use over the stripes

i would just go easy it leaves a film of wax and makes the colour better deeper over time

Thanks everyone! I don't know how I managed to do it properly, the decal stage is usually where I mess up my Airfix kits :chuckle:

i think the 'duster' over the number plate looks superb......

love the black stripe, i think the pinstripes compliment it a treat, as for a DIY job, well done getting it all in line, i have seen many that wander one sided.
