So, as some of you already know, there are two things I love doing with my my Monster.
1) Trackdays
2) Lots of miles

And after two years, 12,200 miles and 10 trackdays it's needed some TLC.
Last week I dropped it into Rosso Corse, in London, after limping back from Belgium, Germany & France froma week's holiday. It was in desperate need for help to sort out the non-charging battery and a chewed up clutch (too many trackdays).

It was there for a week and all was fixed, plus a new front tyre to match the back one fitted a couple of weeks ago.
But boy was I in for a surprise when I get the bill....

£135 clutch basket
£136 clutch plates
£70 new battery rectifer
£25 new front sprocket
£137 new chain
£105 new front tyre
£32 sundries
£202 4 1/2 hours of labour
£127 VAT

Total of £969.89

I told you I should have treated it better :spin:

ouch! I've had clutch, and 2 tyres this month, then the exhaust, decat pipe, front sprocket... I'm scared to check my balance!

No one ever said it was cheap to run a Ducati! ;)

Glad it's back to full strength again though!

Certainly had the fun, but it's one of those things that creep up on you

I hope they checked out and sorted the jumble of wiring under your seat and tank, Justin.........I would be seriously concerned about undertaking any long trips until it had been checked , thinned out a little and routed properly.

Although, having seen the costs set out above I guess your good lady would be jibbing at your request for a second mortgage !!!!!!!!:D:D:D

Don't forget.....there is no such thing as a free lunch !

It stings because you've paid shop prices for all the parts, perhaps you'll need to get those rubber gloves out another time and DIY.
BTW did they fit a new rear sprocket at the same as the new chain?

Logyk, yes a few wires were tidied, but that wasn't really the problem. And it all fits !

Staff, now rear sprocket as that one was fine. And Yes I'd consider a bit of DIY in the future, now that I'm now a fully fledged mechanic...

Ah, the Honda convert surfaces.
Bet you don't have mechanical issues with that CBR ....
