1. Am looking for a good tail tidy kit any ideas?

Possibly that something that just allows the alternative brake light thing which has the indicators built in to it, rather than off each side - but maybe not, as I dont think the visibility of these is too great either, so undecided about that.

Also something which takes a smaller plate as I'll probably get a smaller one made up. (are they illegal or something by the way?

2. Am looking for new rearsets in black, dont need passenger pegs but need whatever you call that bit to hang low level cans off.....Nothing silly expensive like Rizoma's!... any ideas?

:D

Re number plate size, yes, they're illegal but somewhere I read this only applies to post 2000 bikes. My opinion is that depends a lot on size, font and the likes. A plate a bit smaller never got me into troubles. Rearset I use rosmoto (http://www.rosmoto.it/monster.htm) they're very good and they allow you to eventually take a pillion. And they cost a third than the rizomas items..

cut the tail off, JMo might still have some kits she made up.

Am I right in saying what I need is the rearsets and then spare right and left 'holding triangles' for grabbing the cans?

Nope, i got the last one off Chrissi last year, she bought it off JMo but didn't use it, i didn't either, i ended up making my own because i think it was for a different model.

Thanks Seby, my italian isn't too hot - is this the one and will it definitely fit?

Is that your bike above @ the ace? Tidy looks good from what I can see - is it a good part? Good price thats for sure... Looks like theres holes for indicators on the website pic - have you just left them off?

It will fit bex' bike I think as it re uses part of the tail section for a nice clean oem look.

I can recommend Craigs plates for 8 x 6 with black backing. The letters look legal and are 1mm down on size.

you could polish or paint your footrest hangers you have, you use the hole in them to hang the exhaust of with a can strap?
you can buy the exhaust straps on ebay, a few quid each.

If you dont do pillion Bex get rearsets. Pick them up new on the evilbay for around £100 or less. Im sure a bracket can be fitted to stabilise cans.

very few aftermarket rearsets have place for brake light switch, just use pressure switch banjo bolt in the master cylinder instead

Well you know if you put rear brake on brake light comes on. On standard hangers it has a pressure switch . On rearsets you may have to adapt or buy one the works with banjo fittings.

If I rear brake, rear light comes on, what other little light are you talking about? Am I being thick again or what...................:D

I wanted Cycle Cats but I think I'm too impatient to wait them to come up for sale.

Will buy Rizoma's, are they easy to fit and do I have to do something to the brake light switch pressure thingamajig?

Rizoma is insanely expensive, you really are better off letting someone else take the massive hit on a new purchase, rearsets come up on ebay all the time.

Lol thanks Rick!!!

I actually tried to contact that second link regarding the Cycle Cats, no response on email and when you call the numbers they provide it says they all no longer exist... so I was too suspicious to order from them...

Also came across the Speedy moto ones... wonder when they'll be out...

I'm still incapable of making a decision, they either look good but have no exhaust bracket to go with it, or look crap with the hanger.

Rizoma's are easy because they just seem to be right. The Sato's look good too but they are the same price as Rizomas - i dont get why they make rearsets in black as an option but exhausts hangers in titanium only?!

Huuuummmmmm

Just be aware, if you order from the States, UPS will likely hold your goods until you pay the import duty.
Can't fault Speedymoto for quality though.

You could go for hanger-less rear sets & fabricated dropper brackets for cans. I've seen a few bikes with low levels supported this way, usually made from stainless bar and a P-bracket attached to seat rails.

The cheaper price of race style rearsets should compensate for fabricated hangers

Skank is right, the kits I produced were for the later bikes (ST4 type frame- onwards) - they will fit the 620Sie just fine if Blueprintz still has the kit for sale?

It's the only way! (together with the Clear Alternatives combined LED rear light x)

Id give craigs plates a big thumbs up!
I got through 3 plates in a week on my fighter before it got sorted!!...they loved me!
Craigs plates are really good..and fast!

smaller plates ... depends where you live.. here they don't like them.. however I have been ok on a small plate...my fighter is a 96...ive had no bother and don't blend in on a bright orange bike with a stubby noisy can.
Just remember big plate for MOT... I ran with a single line plate for a while with "not a bandit" written on it but was really pushing it!!.. Mot man says to me... plate .. baffle... cheers off you go!! he insists they are fitted for Mot.

My friend just passed his test jumped on his fighter same town... poor guy got pulled 3 points small plate and for wearing a simpson.. and hefty fine.. luck of the draw.. not been stopped in surrey or London for it.. even Yorkshire which is a bit of a mare for being stopped has been kind to me..
Usually you will get pulled if your riding badly or speeding.. then the oh .... thats not a legal zorst and stuff will be brought up.. same for termi's I guess... If you run with "non legal bits " then except your punishment with grace.. lol...
