Are import taxes that high in Thailand or are they just being greedy because Ducati is seen as a luxury?
If the latter then there's maybe a business opportunity in packing bikes and bits from UK in a container and shipping it across no?

Import and registration Tax on bikes are between 140-230% new and used thats why my 2001 S4 cost me £7000 in 2006 .
spare parts have a 30% import tax plus greed on top .I put as much stuff as i can in my suitcases every time i come from UK or USA.
No I would not put a container load of stuff on a ship to Thailand as the sheer bureaucracy of importing parts make the actual 30% duty more like 50% and a lot of stuff gets stolen by customs too.

Ther is Thai saying.....''How to make a small fortune in Thailand ...come with a big fortune and then lose it doing business here''
