Moto Italia in Massachusetts and a Dutch Ducati main dealer are able to reflash Ducati ECU to remove immobilser for racing and also for alternative clocks and even to put DP maps on .

any UK Dealers that can also do this job it would be a real money spinner?

There is a firm in the UK that does this, unfortunitely I'm not on my home PC with the link. Yet to get a cost as well.

Cost in USA is £450 about £270 but could be a life saver as it gives on flexibility to be free .

Wouldn't this make our Ducatis a bigger target for the 'tea leaf' ?

I'd be a bit careful before parting with any money

Cheaper RELIABLE options for the newer Ducatis - fit a Nemesis & it comes with 2 maps & is very tunable - this replaces the ECU and you wont have a security system. Tried & tested thoroughly - and the company provide good back up.
Cost about £6 - 700 at the beginning of this year to get one onto our 1098s

Hope this helps:)

I'm fitting one to my S4R this winter, so the current 'unmated' (no imobiliser) DP ECU will be available.

Its only if I change the instruments on the S4 in future ,my other bikes dont have immobiliser.I dont need a new ECU , the standard Ducati with a PC111 and custom maps is running really well.
