I missed this earlier or I'd have joined in, not only a good and witty retort by Stafford but factually correct too.

Might hop down with Rosies little brother if I have the time between trying to shoe horn large servers into small cupboards and my walling project.

I didn't look as I thought good wood ???? Maybe a dodgy you-tube vid.. wasn't sure where wood came into monsters unless someone was moving away from CF into moulded ply. I seem to remember a bike called Red Shift or something similar that had a ply spar frame so good wood would fit sort of??
Sorry I have odd brain processes ;) LOL

Hey Nick, good answer (sorry, did I miss the fight?)!! But, if you're going to be 'picky', Rosies little brother, should read 'Rosie's little brother'?!!!

Goodwood - that's a racetrack isn't it? ;)

LOL Liz don't start.. my grammer is functional rather than pretty, Rosie is the pedantic one on that kind of thing.

And the ply frame was a real beastie, I think it had a triumph engine so probably shook itself into a pile of sawdust

No need to get huffy or defensive kneedown, your definition of funny may not be everybody else's defintion of funny, we're all different.
Have a good day anyway, it's a really, really good day out and you get to see a lot of fantastic, spectacular (and very expensive) machinery being used as it was originally intended, I encourage anybody who hasn't been to get over there. Don't forget to dress up in period costume or you'll stand out like a sore thumb (1950s/60s dress) and it's £40 odd to get in, well worth it though!

That'll be easy Liz, you either want to go south about 3/4 of the way to the sea and then go left about the same distance and there you are :)
Or a gentle dog left left, longer but more fun if you stick to the little roads

My navigation system works a bit like that, I know where I'm starting from and where I want to end up. The middle part is a voyage of exploration and magical mystery :dizzy:

Ain't looked yet! Oh, actually no, it's not that far! But forgotten what the event is!! :dizzy:

Last year went to both the Festival and Speed and Revival, spent the weekend up there... normally go every other year or so.

The Festival of Speed is all about exhibitions and the hill run, lots to see and do and even in two days we didn't walk round everything (Mainly as I had great paddock and start line grandstand tickets)! Gets bigger each year!

The Revival is more about the classic cars and bikes and the history of the Goodwood track and RAF base. Not so much to walk around but that's because it's more about the circuit racing and is essentially a proper racing event.

Can't say it enough, make the effort to get dressed up for the Revival, even if it's just a suit and trilby, those that don't stand out a lot more!

The local roads offer some great runs, had a great time following a Ferrari 360 and the following day a DB9. Friendly drivers!

They normally have a specified bike parking area which is staffed by people working for a local charity.

They organise lockers and changing facilities. People manning it just ask you to donate a few quid. Can leave everything with them.
