Hi all,

Thinking of trying a pair of Michelin 2ct's this time round on the m600, I've been quoted fitted to loose wheels at a cost of £230.80 including VAT.

Is this good, bad or just damn ugly? I haven't had to buy tyres for a couple of years so I've no idea what's a good price!

Cheers,

Andy

Seems about going rate if you allow for fitting. Our local is Watling tyres who did mine and are a trustable centre. They want £200 but maybe a few quid fitting

Speak to Steve Lynham and Bike Treads then use one against the other, I'd did on the 748 and Bike Treads wanted the business more than Steve so they lowered by £40! That was a while ago now though. Not sure what they policy is now, what with economy.

£230 sounds fairly good though!

Likewise above, I think I paid about £20 more than that recently.

I used 2ct's on the 748 since they came out and on the S4R but recently I opted for the Pilot Sport on the S4R and guess what I can still get them to the edge and ride as quick on the road as on the 2ct's, and they are £60 fitted.

Shuffy had a pair on 2CT's fitted to his S2R1000 by Watling's earlier this year

Seem to recall that being at least £230 - possibly to loose wheels?

The amount you use it whu not bung on some cheapo chinese cack, you don't ride it fast enough to notice!!

One a serious note, do they do 2CTs for the 600 rim size?

I paid about £120 fitted to a loose wheel for the rear on the Thou last time

Valid points Pedro!
Andy why not try Mitchells Cycles - a rear for Max's Raleigh was only a tenner:chuckle:

Also mate you don't want expensive tyres on it cos Nickys already got an ad in Asda's window. And all that money saved will get you a big rock down at Ratners!!!!:chuckle:
