You will be wearing the bike out at this rate. Only kidding dead jealous Martin. Hope your getting used to her and shes staying reliable. Its funny how she put me through that sale day NON START. Glad shes getting used to you now.

Hoping to be riding maybe next weekend if hospital are pleased with arm.

cheers albie, shes just gone past 14000, slowly clocking up miles, hopefully you'll be up and riding for your belgium trip mate, little and often?
must admit i thought i was never gonna get riding on her after my busted foot, but now i'm slowly getting used to the throttle and have realised that hard acceleration when your going quite fast already is quite enjoyable.......
saw another fairing today on katos bike!
have fun and speedy recovery :mand:

and barbican, hope you can make the run, just try and cut ur grass on the saturday!!

Thats a 1000 miles so that aint bad . I will deffo be riding in 2 weeks. Im being pressured not to. Im ok to try at least. My arms working ok now but aches at times where thers still a bruise. Im allowed to cycle which is fun with rigid rear end. Fully adjustable front takes the pounding.

Yes nice to open her up and hang on. Have you hit the limiter in 1-2-3 yet.

You not seen Katos before then.

uksurfer
23-08-2009, 07:35 PM
think i seen katos bike at box ages ago, didnt have a proper look like we did today, looks the business, love the rear indicators (might copy that idea), i been trying to think of some ideas for winter project, so that could well be a start front and back.
not hit limiter yet, but the front don't have feel light sometimes :chuckle:

I think if you ask Kato that it was me who gave him the idea :D:D:D.I was also going to to put leds in the front fairing but around 10 leds rather than the running lights.

Hey Martin,
Yeah Bex and I have been talking about going along to this. Guessing it would make the most sense to meet up once there? Never been to Brighton before so I don't know any landmarks either but I'm sure we could figure something out. Would be good to meet up with some more people from here!

Theres a small group from Ducati Owners Club leaving the Ship pub by Wandsworth Bridge @ 7am. Me and Konan planning to tie in with them if anyone in London fancies doing the same rather than riding with the masses from Ace- early enough to get a nice breakfast on the way or when we get there. We met a group of them this evening, great bunch.

Weather looks good for Sunday!! I'm really looking forward to this. Let me know what you decide to do.

Oh by the way, if you're looking for tyres, Rich (Louigi's) fitted Pirelli's Angels on my Monster about 4 weeks ago, I love them, they roll into corners really nicely (even with my more sedate riding style).

Yeah, well I've got one too! Maybe I should get one for the bike to give it encouragement not to worry about meeting other Ducatis?!! ;)

So, maybe me and the little Monster are well suited?

Wear it 'with pride' over your jumper (until your bike breaks down, then quickly swap!!).

The spark plug idea's ok but the tyre is a little more conspicuous - will there be a huge burning heap of tyres next time?! ;)

good to meet you today chris and your mates, shame we all got split up, to busy down there to keep everyone together
Try to join us next time

i think it was even harder trying to keep everyone together on the ride in, about 9 of us mixed in with a 1,000 other bikes!

Yeh exactly, I was standing there like 'I dont see them'.... then I thought hang on how would I even know if I did!!

Anyway, great day, great to meet those that I did manage to and thanks for a great ride down and especially back (were we missed most of the traffic and could still feel the fingers for most of the journey).

Great day guys and the ride down was great too. We missed the traffic and got some beautiful roads...next time I just have to remember to not rock up in my jeans and summer gloves! Upside is that I learned that it's possible to steer the bike purely with the weight of my arse when I'm upper body is frozen stiff!

Shame we didn't get to hook up with the other UKMOC members today but there's always next time. And winter is no excuse to not go riding :woot::woot: ok...maybe I'm just convincing myself there!

Had a great time too just watching everyone come in. Thought i was pretty hard to miss in my sexy Ducati jacket and with matching bike parked directly outside D.O.C tent thingy. Went to pier at oneish, cos i have the memory of a fruit fly, and could'nt think what time was mentioned and was looking out for Martins alien fairing but met no-one so bit disappointed with that. Still, a most excellent day.
