I have a the Ultimate ear ones, including the ones with speakers in. Fantastic, but really pricey.
For the very cheap cost of the R&G ones I'd say it was worth a shot.
And Ultimate Ear are based in Sidcup, North Kent, Staff

Cheeky sod, I do already have a custom set that I bought at Thruxton earlier in the year.
I misplaced them for a couple of weeks and was somewhat pi**ed off because of the cost, just thought that next time I'd give these a go.
Anyway, have you actually ridden your bike at all this year Shandy?

The DIY option is a novel idea.
Wonder how long before someone tries that with a tube of bath sealant from Wicks?
Why do you have to wear earplugs anyway? I like the sound of my engine (when it's going!!).
Oh, BTW, in case the first reply is 'so I can't hear the wife', that's not funny!! ;)

I did find them after about two weeks, stuck in the lining of a pocket after I'd got absolutely drenched riding home from Didcot a few Thursdays ago. So wet the camera is now dead and phone took a week of drying out to recover.

Yes it is!
Liz,
Very clear evidence that any travel without earplug can be damaging to your ears so always try and use tehm, secondly, with a REALLY LOUD bike I can hear mine aplenty anyway ! :)
