Is the "Ducati Security System" the standard fit immobiliser, or was it an optional extra?

It's listed on insurance sites, but no idea if the standard S2R 1000 has it?

Cool. I was hoping it was standard, but thought maybe that was a combined alarm and imobiliser upgrade.

Saves me 80 quid on insurance if I have it!

On the IE I always said that it had the a 'standard factory original equipment immobiliser' fitted. Not sure if they discounted much but I'd given them the info what they made of that was up to them.
Passive things like data tagging seem to score quite well too.

yeah, datatag or Alphadot knocks £12 off, but costs more. I've seen the Alpha dot kits for about £15 on ebay so I might get one anyway

The "Ducati security system" knocks about £80 off, as does almost all other alarm systems, which is making me think maybe it was an optional extra, that was in addition to the standard immobiliser
