all in one back light for the 696/1100

I found a LED back light on ebay.com that has the indicators incorporated in it as well the usual. It also has the number plate light in it?

Is this an old thing and i am a bit late to catch on to, or maybe a good reason why no-one has them fitted over here?

Would tidy up the back end nicely with a good tail chop and some boom tubes!

There's a few discussions about these around the forums. I've got one fitted on my 695 but after some thought I've fitted some clear side indicators.

They look good I'll admit but when you're riding behind someone with one it's very hard to actually see the indicator, especially if you're braking at the sametime....

They are also illegal, as there is a set distance apart the indicators have to be, so watch out for MOT time.

i do think they look good. but you have to be careful to whether someone sees it. as lous cannon says following isn't always clever. also you need to find out if approved. the plod may not agree or mot in future years. go for it if you like it though.

oh and go for the evotech tail tidy. nearly fitted but only one arm in use. i really like it.

I'm not really a fan of it. I don't want to sound preachy at all but I like to try and ride safe and the role of the indicators is to indicate to other motorist where you are going. Personally I don't think that this light is that clear and therefore could cause more problems than good.
That said, I'd fit mini LED indicators which is what I plan to do once I have the funds. :D

All very true, after finding these, posting my message, my brain came out of it's slumber this morning and did start thinking of the having the indicators that close together. probably not the safest mod you can do.
