:booze:any idea's getting 14volt from rectifer untill I connect it to the loom then 12v ? ? ?
2 phase rectifer on 916 loom and engine?

14v with no load, 12v when loaded. If it's just measured without the engine running it maynot be a problem. If the engine is running then 12 out is low even at tickover.
Might be the regulator isn't well, be worth a quick swap out with known good one.
Might be a high resistance in one of the connectors if it still stays the same.
If you measure the resistance between the wires from the regulator are they around about the same figures?
Less likey to be the problem though, unless you've rules out poor connections and swap out of the reg makes no difference.
