Oh dont :D I must have spent about £2k virtual window shopping :D

The rear sets will cost me £950 but they are a work of art machining wise and worth the effort.
The wheel nut covers look good too. Reasonable price imho.

Been looking at adapting 1098 rearseat unit on my spare seat. Hmm ebay winter project much like streetfighter.

The bike look's the "DOG'S", what make is the seat cover it' the best i've seen. As for a good supplier of rizoma try Moorespeed in Poole i've always been delighted with their service, all the best with future mods.

Seat and cover are from Ducati,i stumbled accross a picture of it and got snells on the case to find it,it has to come from Italy, not sure it will become a UK item or not.Im very pleased with it,looks even better in the flesh, plus can still put the standard 2 seat seat back in 2 minutes as whole lot comes off with the key.

That looks fantastic, particularly with your bike's blend of white and carbon.

Don't think it would look so good on a non-white bike.

The last bit of carbon has just arrived today, which are the side oil cooler shrouds,so they will be fitted tonight.next will be the rear sets before starting on the handlebars and mirrors. Its nearly as much fun modding my bike as it is riding it !

Which oil cooler shrouds did you get in the end? I've seen a few manufacturers around and I did enquire from a Spanish supplier that did the whole oil cooler cover in three sections, but their email seems to have died...

Quality is as good if not better than DP items, not had a good look at fitting yet as still at work, will let you know now easy it is to do a post a photo when done.Ad says for 696 but Albie checked part numbers and 696/1100 shrouds the same.

I dont think the centre piece is required, may look at some black mesh jobbie instead.
Now your bike has some mods its time for some updated photos in your let the mods begin thread.

I like the look of them, but do think it would look even better with the centre section done too.

The trouble is, the only one I've found is this one:

It's at carbon4us.com but after they bombarded another forum with ads, they now seem to have gone to ground, with no stock and email that doesn't work...

That's not a major issue with a bit of B&Q mesh and a hot glue gun ;)

The trouble is, I've never seen a carbon one anywhere else....

Albie
12-07-2009, 09:04 AM
You can probably tuck some B&Q mesh behind the cover. I may play today but not sure about the gold.I may try to just see but no doubt I will change the colour to silver.

might just fit the 696 part as that has the same mesh as the air intakes on the tank

MON

A sheet of mesh is only around a fiver from B&Q or Homebase if you want to do it yourself.

It's an easy job, just takes a little time.

I did put the manufacturer, part number and an idea of its location in B&Q on the "other" website if it's any help ;)

I've got carried away this morning and gone for the complete german setup that Albie pointed me towards.

As for colour, you've got a photo of my silver mesh above and Abie's on another thread, which may help you make up your mind. Just make sure you buy ally mesh and not the steel one!

Pity you didn't make it over the Sharnbrook yesterday...

The side bits do look very nice, about time we had some updated photos of yours too.
Cant ride out at the moment as the exhaust is off, trying to get a mid pipe made to remove the flapper valve and tidy that section up.

MON

There will be an update soon as I have a multitude of bits and pieces on the way, but it'll probably be a couple of weeks yet.

There is a photo of it on the Sharnbrook thread, but not that close up.

Won't you have an issue with the stepper motor for the valve getting confused if you remove the valve? I thought the full system ECU was programmed slightly differently to the end can option, but I could be wrong.

The valve does not work with the cans ecu,is fully open as noise not a problem with race cans ! worst i could get is a fault code, might try unpluggin the servo under the seat and see what happens, the valve just looks horrible.

Well here they are Rizoma rearsets, very expensive but i can see why,the quality is excellent as it the attention to detail. So adjustable, peg height, forwards, backwards.Plus can adjust reach of gear lever and brake pedal.Footpegs are wider than standard which are much better have more grip too,my feet slipped off the standards pegs a couple of times.Plus pegs are folding, lots of rear sets are fixed which i dont like.Well worth the exspense.
