Well m1100 booked in for first service in 2 weeks time as working next weekend. I asked them about the tail tidy as Ryan hs one on his 696. He told me it was around £120 whick I guess is fair being ducati part. Asked dealer to order me one and he said bit deare then that. Try £240 for tail tidy. I know I got bike cheap but thats rip off.Looking at R&G now as they do some crash bungs tht I also. Get all that lot for less than ducati parts.

anyone else got a tail tidy fitted.

I had one on my 696, it twas the official Ducati part, and was around £120. I'm sure it's the same part.

I think you've been misquoted.

Exactly. Maybe it was gold plated plastic. Going to shop round until I get to £120 or get the R&G one. Or what yorkie posted.

Well Im not paying anymore than the online ducati price of £152. Where did you get yours from a dealer.
Im checking out the R&G one and see if I can do a deal with crash bungs.

I got mine from a dealer too, and thinking about it, I would have also got discount as I bought it with the bike. It does like it's gone up though, presumably with the bike price increases due to the Euro exchange rate.

So, £152 must be the new price, but certainly not £240.

Well exactly what I would expect. As what I did. Please service my bike where I brought it from and how much for that then please. Maybe because I got so much off buying it they are adding £100 everytime. You wait the service bill will be £200 :look::look:

I am going for the EVOTECH tail tidy. It sells for £79.99 and they kindly emailed the fitting instructions and some pics to show the detail of the unit. It looks a decent piece of fabrication for the money so Im going to get one and save the differance between this a Ducati one.
Heres the pics they sent me.

Seconded - the DP bit *was* a bugger to fit - there are some bolts that need to pass through a sandwich of about 5 layers of parts, all of which need to be simultaneously aligned, not easy, and even harder to do so and get everything neatly aligned.

That evotech part looks easier.

Well technically you can. You can put yours back but not to original other than welding and painting permanent .
You could however make some turned plugs same diameter as the inside of tube and grub screw fix back. Thing is you either chop or dont on the old. Choice is always yours. I just think the new tail is too long and too thin and I dont actually care no more. She now has waterproofs . :D:D:D

Yes the same size as your rear. 1" smallers ok for me. 8" x 6" I think.

Purchased a oil cooler grill from these guys, top quality product and company. The item they advertised on ebay was for the hypermotard http://www.evotech-performance.com/acatalog/oil_cooler_guards_6870.html emailed them and they agreed to take it back if it did'nt fit. Modified the bend at the top the other direction and it fitted the best.

Albie, sorry to read about your spill get well soon.

regards Vince

Well the tail tidys done other than awaiting small numberplate and I have to cable tie rear loom up as just noticed on pics.

Highly recommend this kit as even a one armed cripple can fit. I have raised Termis to position 2 bracket as indicators are now higher.

Glad the chops done as saved a lot more weight.

shame bikes have to have number plates.I kept mine full size, thought more likely to get stopped for small number plates than loud pipes, but if got stopped for plate might get done for pipes as well.

funny that the fedex man arrived 5 mins after posting thread. So it has a number plate again. I now need a yellow screw though. The number plate is 1" smaller all round and letters are legal size other than 1mm smaller on spacing. It would be a really keen spoilsport to question it.

1/2 " clear each side of exhausts has to be done or will melt.
