I was looking at Yamahas thinking of a project the very day I decided to buy another bike. I always wanted an rd400 or 350lc the older one than that. Looks in good nick. Some right old sheds on ebay.

I had 2 aircooled and one LC 250 over the years. It amazes me looking at one now how narrow the TT100s that we used to rag them round on look, compared with modern sportsbike tyres. That looks great.

TT100's now your talking. I put one on my X5 and went round a roundabout and off I come. I was only telling my mate 10 mins before how well it sticks.:D

Mine (350 non ypvs) used to break sometimes but not too often and nowhere near as much as the 250 desmo I had a long time ago, might have been the radical Stan Stephen tune, might have been the abuse.
Had a 250 at the same time too.
Not too long ago I had a 350 ypvs, that was great fun too.

You ought to slot in one of his 353 banshee motors :yoparty: something like 120 brake

Got a 'stroker' project hidden in the garage somewhere. An RGV 250 (Lucky Strike) , waiting for some loving attention to be lavished on it !(if I ever get the time or money).

That definitely needs an RD motor Robot, saves you rebuilding the motor every other weekend LOL you can stretch it out to monthly then

Nice YPVS too.

I am thinking of a 500 project either a gamma or YPVS but thye do come in at a tidy price even shabby ones.

How about an NSR250, slightly more unusual than the other 2Ts of the era.
I'd commend a TZR more fun than the older LCs and very sharp handling. I did my best ever run time from Portsmouth to bristol on one, not beaten it yet !

No it doesn't, it needs a RG500 motor...:chuckle:

The only thing I don't really understand is that bit lump nailed to the front down tubes and all the associated gubbins, but I suppose it'll stop it going BANG... it needs to be flushed out to remove all of the spiders and dust having stood without hoses on for 6 years !
