I would sooner risk damaging crash bungs for £60 then writing off bike. Without bungs bars, tank, exhaust, mirror, footrest brackets, indicators, possible fairing and light. Its insurance at the end of the day for you.
You can never know what sort of crash you may have otherwise we would always choose a slow low speed drop.

You could get strangled by your seat belt in a car crash, but 99 times out of a hundred....

Buy R&G, you get what you pay for.

i can confirm from personal experience that r&g's can save a few quid on repair bills - see http://twitpic.com/5oog8 :dizzy::freak:

i'm not paying anyway as not my fault, but hopefully also means less time waiting on parts from Italy - although my arm could still be roadworthy again before the monster is....:)

I was talked out of crash bungs by J.H.P. (Ducati Coventry) with their tales of bent frames :grump: .

do it, R&G's get my vote

ducati parts are mighty expensive,

if its someone else's fault their insurance an should pay for any damage, but even a small spill at low speed can cost a serious chunk of cash to fix

R&G's yep :)
First accident, no bungs, wrote bike off due to the tank being dented.
Second accident, with bungs, bike not written off.
Happy bunny here :bunny: specially as she's just been delivered back.

just the bungs, but will be adding a few more r&g bits when the compensation comes through, lol... and maybe some pazzo levers and a few other bits... :D;)

doing ok here - 23 days since broken humerus and arm moving pretty well in most directions and strength increasing, although maybe a bit of nerve trouble as a big bit of my right forearm numb and burning 24/7.. back to the fracture clinic on tuesday, so fingers crossed...

(edit: damage to bike sub-£900, without bungs am guessing would have been a fair bit more...)
