Im sure you ride adequately. Im no riding god. I was thinking of maybe going to see Scrapps down in herne bay or a ride to whitstable.Nothing too far and nothing fast. Will leave the day open for the moment in case of others joining in. Be good to have you come along. Dont forget the week after is Kent meet and we are meant to be going down to wessons cafe. I should be on my M1100s by then and running it in so you will be faster than me. Will pm you for sure and where we can meet. Im in Chattenden.

Monday is fine with me. May be better if we meet in the village hotel car park as more space (the Running Horse Car park is usually very busy on Bank Holidays!).

Hi Guys. Was out on the Monster today and heard a loud bang from the rear of the bike followed by clunking noises. Pulled over and found a metal bar sticking out of the rear tyre! Luckily Ducati Assisit have got me and the bike back home (took almost 6 hrs)
The metal bar looks like an old screwdriver shaft and is about 6 inches long! Bit of damage to the rear hugger but other than that nothing else looks damaged. This means that unless I can find a tyre and get one fitted tommorrow (Sunday) I won't be out to play tommorrow.
If you know of anyone / anywhere I can take to get it done please send me a pm to let me know. Thanks. If I don't make it on Monday have a nice ride out.

Oh man thats cr4p. I dont know of any tyre places open on sunday other than Kwik fit and they deffo not sell bike tyres. I know sts in maidstone used to but again maybe not sundays. You may have to go to Watling tyres. Dont worry we will do another June 7th to wessons cafe.

Try here. Did my pirelli corsa III

In London Chasbikes save the day every time.
All I can think of round your way on a Sunday is give Steve R a call on 07795 073376 and see if he can help, not too far from Maidstone.

Hi Guys
Might also tag along all being well, yet another noob if thats ok.
After a few years on HDs saw the light (and felt the financial pain when I went to trade the Fat Boy in!), got a 696 in Sept but havent done even 400 miles yet (I work away a lot) so it would be good to get some miles on the clock.
I'm also gutted missed Le Touquet but I hate the rain.
Anyone know whats happening to Motorline Ashford? They said they cant do my re-call as they are giving the franchise bck to Ducati? That means no dealer in Kent!
Cheers
Dave

Hi All, just back home from a fantastic weekend near Battle.

I'll have to pass on ride in the morning as I'm too knackered, and want a day chilling out to recharge my batteries before work on Tuesday. Just blame a combination of 4 days great riding, very late nights and early starts + plenty of real ale.... bliss :)

Should be ok for next weekends Kent meet though

Hi. Thanks for all the help. Went up to Chasbikes and got a new rear Bridgestone fitted. Have got the wheel back on the bike and chain tensioned up. Will shoot out in the next hour for a quick test ride. Hopefully dry tommorrow so I can run the new tyre in. Also I would like to say thank you to the 4 people who stopped to see if I was ok yesterday !

Excellent news that. I will try to be at village a shade after 10pm. Oh and GT its 2 weekends time the meet. Second sunday. I cant pick up m1100 until June 1st thats monday unless I use a van. My fault I asked for tax to start then .

See you guys tomorrow. No route planned as such so follow me to the seaside. Anyone one for whitstable for oysters.

Nice to meet everyone this morning, albiet briefly! Hope you had a dryish ride out to the coast. Did not feel confident with the new rear tyre on wet roads (every time I gave it any throttle leant at minor angles the back felt like it was slipping !) Hope it is dry for Wessons Cafe meeting.

Hi. Tell me something I don't know Slob. Typical unpredictable weather ! Got home and started doing outstanding chores as thought the rain was set for the rest of the day and surprise, surprise the sun comes out 1/2 an hour later (Still at least it kept the better half happy !)

Thanks for the reminder Albie - was getting my weekends mixed up again :dizzy:

Glad you had a good ride today. Was surprised to see you caught rain though. Been dry here in Dartford all day with just a few spots falling in the last hour?

Hi guys. I enjoyed today. I was feeling pretty crap first thing and also it raining. Have to admit we was hoping you wouldnt turn up and we could go home as it looked pretty ****e.

Glad we did have coffee and wait around for a while as the roads were decent enough. This could have been my last ride out on my bike so at least it was nice.

The seafood was great and the oysters very scrummy. Thanks for meeting us down there Rich and good to see all the public taking piccys of your silver dream machine. Happy belated birthday also.
We had to go early to get back for carolines son but I also sorted garage out too.

Good to see 696's out with the club and is great too that we have new members enjoying our company. Shame about Ryan with his slippy new tyre but who needs to gamble. Dont blame him at all as it did look pants.

Hope you guys had a good ride home and good to see you London Boys again

Thanks guys until the next time

Andy and Caroline

Unbeleivable! I know how you feel, Ryan.
BBC Weather on the interwebnettubebook thingy this morning for Maidstone was sunny/clouds until 16:00 then heavy rain.
Got my kit on and ready to go at 9:45 ( I'm only a few miles from the Village) and it started to heave it down.
Hate rain, so put bike away, agreed on taking her indoors out for luch after all.
Then spent the afternoon sitting outside the Black Horse in Bearsted in shorts in blazing sunshine, wondering how the ride went. I'll never get miles on this bike! I guess I need to stop wimping out when its wet (it's all that cleaning I hate..........................)
Glad you had a good one though!
Cheers
Dave
