Good evening young sir,
Oh bu99er! Must admit, if the weather is going to be that bad, we'll have to have a rethink! Bike's running well at the minute...Ducati John has just done the business along with new belts and apart from riding home from his place, I've not had time for a decent ride out yet!

As far as I can tell from the DSC & Ducati up North it's still on for those hardy souls who don't mind the rain. Numbers may be limited though.

I'm going to start calling you a soft southerner! However, you might just be right......

Met office Update:
Sunday:
Windy with rain heavy at times moving north across most parts followed by brighter skies with some sunshine and blustery showers. Northern Scotland staying dry for much of the day.

Updated: 1613 on Sat 16 May 2009

10am says sunshine.....but 1pm says heavy rain......might have to give this a rethink! Start off in the sunshine, end up in the rain....or.....go to the pub?? Mmmmmm!

I'm going to squires as planned to meet up with those that have let me know they will meet me there.

Blue Skies at the moment but don't know how long it's gonna stay that way.

No probs will people who want to meet at Squires or Thirsk for a natter an/or bail on the ride if/when we get a downpour.

Look out for the 998 "monster"

......the weather wasn't too bad - so much for the weather forecast! Sun stayed out for the part of the ride I did at the back of the group. 9 set off from Thirsk and through the morning peeled off on other routes (home?) as we went along.

Thanks Ray......hopefully more will turn out next time round....

Mark

Dry at Squires, Thirsk, Helmsley, Castleton, Whitby and most of the way back until we got to York.

Good to see a good mix of bikes out including some UKmonsters.

The roads were pretty quiet and the NYPD were nowhere to be seen. Even the sheep kept off the roads over the moors:)

Ray.

It's because you wished it on yourself......I was praying for good weather and got it and had a splendid ride out!;) Hope I'm lucky next time round.

Racing on at Olivers Mount, Scarborough at the weekend.....I'm staying at Whitby in the caravan with the family, so will be driving through to watch the racing on Sunday. I'm praying for good weather again!!:chuckle:

So you are saying I'm a bit like King Cnut? (think I've spelt it right):D

LOL - right letters, just in the wrong order!!

Forecast looks bad for the bank holiday at the moment....I'm asking myself....do I really want to get bogged down in a field trying to drag my caravan out?? Fortunately the site is a camping and caravan club district meet so I don't need to book up.....hey, it's only £5.50 a night......

Worst thing that can happen is I'll be in front of the box watching the Monaco GP - come on Button!!
