Was just wondering how many litres of fuel you can get in the fuel tank.

Haynes says 18 litres with a 4 litre reserve so was wondering what it was in reality.

If I tried to get 18 litres in mine, most of it would end up on the forecourt!

even when nearly empty, 10 or 11 litres is the most I get in mine.

I still haven't confirmed, but can't be a lot more than 15 litres in total in an M900 tank.

2000 up to 2007 ie bikes and S4 bikes it is 15 litres 3.5 is reserve. M600 for those years 16lt with 3lt reserve. s4r testa and 695 for 2007-08 14lt 3lt res. 1100 and 1100s 15lt 3lt res

Those are the only figures I can find quoted in the Monster Bible.

What isn't clear is if the total includes the reserve or if that is in addition? If its in addition the 18lt total sounds about right.

IIRC, filling from dry I got over 16 litres in mine (M900) but the tank is from an injected model with internal pump which may be different capacity? (looks the same though).

It depends how much filler there is in the ubiquitous handlebar dents......

Or if its plastic you might get a bit more in! :)

Well that's made my mind up....I'm not fitting ubiquitous handlebars if they dent the tank...:grump:

Not a bad turn out for a 7 year old thread though, the OP will be well pleased with the replies..

Seriously ? which model are you referring to ? not all Monster have the same size fuel tank. Check the manual for your particular model. I mean really, how simple could it be.
