I have been in touch with Eagle screens who are developing replacements screens for the 696/1100 with the plus style faring. So far these are still prototypes,2 versions a standard one in a tint and a higher one too,now Eagle screens would like our help, they havent decided yet if to put these into pruduction as are very difficult to make,so what they would like to know is
What do you think ?
What would you pay for a screen like this ?
If enough interest they will make these. So please leave coments.

style-wise the standard looks better, but probably for purposefulness the raised will be better, so make them both..I would pay probably around 20 quid, not a lot more, and only if they come with a nice plastic trim..

Is that just a prototype to show the shape? Because it doesn't look that great. Also don't like the way the larger screen hangs off the red plastic.
Don't see why I would go for that when I have the original. I would want something a little bigger (S2R1000 size) that keeps my satnav out of the airflow, but as I'm not worried about the air flow on me, it's more about looks than functionality.
I would not be interested in that as it looks at the moment. Stu

Actually I prefer the Givi screen to his one (not that I like it enough to buy one though)

I would buy a tinted / larger screen for my 696 as i do blast up and down the m3 to work on it sometimes ( 50 miles each way ) and some more wind protection would be appreciated !

Not sure the aboe looks nice enough without seeing it on a bike !

They look so much better than the Ducati offering that they wanted £80 for - Walpole did you ever see that?

Wouldn't mind a closer look at the taller one - around £50-60 would seem about right.

yes i did see that, not nice,im surprised Ducati havent come up with a better offering. So most want a taller screen that fits the bikini farings but are not too sure about the way it extends past the the plastic cowl, cant really see how to get a taller screen without doing that though

Yes but with a bit of imagination and some work it should be possible to design an esthetically pleasing and nicely finished product.
Thats a bit of black plastic badly riveted onto a bit of red plastic.

Ideally, I'd just like to get a taller piece of plastic/perspex/whatever to fit on the existing ducati piece - you know - like they do on those Jap things!

I've seen someone a few days ago, whilst walking the pug, putting his helmet on
and stepping inside a C1.
Shouldn't you be able to ride this thing without a helmet, just wearing a sefety belt?

The standard tinted looks good, but I think you could easily tint the clear screen with
these car foils sold for a few bucks everywhere, also covering light scratches.

The screen on the 696 also seems to just protect the instrument cluster from rain and
suicidal flies.

Ah yes, the great debate... I recall this was discussed at length when the machine was first released - in certain countries they allow you to ride it without a helmet, but in the UK they decided you should wear a helmet too (as it is still considered a motorcycle)... yes, it does sort of defeat the object, but look at it this way - a full face lid with tinted visor means noone can see your embarrassment while riding the damn thing!

I'd be surprised if that isn't a photoshop job... but you're right, it looks excellent!

In the interests of market research:

I'm not looking for a replacement fairing, so I'll pass thanks.

I might be interested in something *smaller*, to cover the rear of the clocks, but without the screen.
