Smiled when I saw this one, Chris and I met at Box Hill (engaged now, good as married) :)

If the bikes back on the road, be fun to get across on that date!

I think you'll find its 'on' the weekend after next Mostro ;)
Judging from the feedback on ISC & Ducatisti this looks like being one big 'gig' of a meet (as long as the weather plays ball)

After our discussion about it on Sat, shall I ask AK to bring along his van & tool chest instead of coming on the bike?:D

Unfortunately I'm doing a 20 mile race in Worthing that day. I know what I'd rather be doing, but needs must, and all that!

I'll be back out on the road soon - roll on the end of April!!

I know there are plenty from the ISC & Ducatisti site are going along to this - from all parts, inc Midlands, SW (Taunton area) & East Anglia.......

Meets I know of are a group leaving Loomies (A272) at 08.30, which is the Hants & also Dorset riders

Some leaving Taunton at 06.15

Mav is heading some from Brum, stopping around Northampton to collect others.........

and I know some are coming up from East and West Sussex, will try & find out their meet place for you.

If the weather is ok, this meet appears to be one heck of a biggun

They will prob be brisk or progressive - but sensible, and nobody ever gets left on their own - they will wait at a turn off or junction if they have crept ahead & misplaced you in their mirrors.
Make yourself known to Dementor (aka Roy) who will be on a very blinged 848, carrying 'soft luggage' on the back (his mrs, Sandra)

If you stay 'in' the group, you'll be far less likely to be singled out by plod.........try & keep in 2nd/3rd place in the pack & you'll be fine - far less chance of playing catch up!

The ride to Goodwood after wont be a hoon as far as I know :)

To find AK & Myself - look for a rather 'odd' looking green/white/red single sided tatty machine with single seat (thats AK's heap:D ) with a grubby 696 parked next to it (a small CK on the screen).

We'll not be far away.

To anyone going who hasnt been there before, DO remember this is in the side (over flow) car park, not the main one - so if coming in from the dual carriageway & turning left, then you need to go hard on the brakes as this car park is hard left again as soon as you get into the main one :)
If coming in from the back road then you need to go down the full length of the main car park & then turn into the small car park.

Do you think there will be someone being dayglo and pointing or something marking this?

It shouldn't be too difficult to find - its access is at the corner of the car park, and if you turned up say about 10am, then I think you wouldnt be able to miss italian bikes already parked in there............;)

You still baking monsters for it Ladybird?

Is it the normal coach park then?

Hmm, I should go shopping for flour and remember to do some baking, I'm not used to my new oven yet and keep burning things :(

Message from Henners who has organised this:

Weather looks reasonable for the morning and I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as can make it.

There'll be prizes for the furthest travelled and for the best Italian motorcycle - don't ask what the rules are because Stu hasn't decided yet so everyone who brings their bike is in with a chance

We'll be heading off on the ride-out about 11.30am - it's 70 miles so if you plan on coming along please make sure you have enough fuel before we set off. During this ride-out every rider is expected to act responsibly and is deemed to be in control of their bike at all times. There is no reason for individuals to ride outside of their ability. There is no need to play "Catch-up". A route plan will be provided which will allow you to enjoy the ride-out at your own pace.

Have a safe ride and here's to a good turnout and to meeting friends old and new
pace.

There is the http://www.goodwood.co.uk/site/content/breakfastclub/default.aspx
going on, tho the rideout is likely to arrive as Henners says on the ISC :
http://www.italiansportingclub.co.uk/forum_posts.asp?TID=3070&PN=5

"we expect the first riders to get to Goodwood between 1 and 1.30pm depending on traffic. We'll aim for the big car park on the left after passing through the access tunnel (immediately through the entrance gates) at the back of the pits and along from the cafe and flight control"

So she & the nipper could go along late morning & then have a cuppa etc till you arrive?

Well done Henners for getting this organised - so many bikes turned out on a lovely dry day today - I counted an eventual 71 Italian bikes that made it into the bottom carpark!

Lovely to catch up with new & old mates - hope the ride to Goodwood was safely done, just so sorry we couldnt join you all but AK got a call that he had to attend to........

Looking forwards to seeing the photos - particularly the 2 lovely DD16's, the sparkly MV, the Benelli's - and the many many different models of Ducati's, with the odd Aprilia in there too.

I think it was David H or AndyRH from Zummerset that got the mileage award for doing just over 170 miles to get there, just pipping Mav on his 1098 from Brum!

Special mention to Ladybird who made such lovely monster biscuits!

had a great day out, with the start at loomies, 17 travelled up to box from there, about 4 monsters mixed in, the line seemed to streetch for miles!!!
Sounded awesome through the villages, lots of people stopping and staring.
lovely run down to goodwood, the 'monster' cookies were lovely, my littlun even had one1.
many thanks to the organisers, if you could pass on my thanks, and to the lads and lasses from the other sites who were really friendly.
Not sure about the goodwood cans of coke for ?1.30, they were the only down point of the day.
Had a blat back through chichester A27/M27 home with 6 others.
All home safe i hope.

Cheers martin

hope bigfiretruck got home with his 'lost' front sprocket
