I finally arrived home yesterday from a long vacation and got to work on the bike today to get riding again, i am currently in the middle of fitting the R&G Crash Protectors to my 98 M600 and it does not seem right to me, this is my problem

The tie bar (Through Bolt) connects to the Stainless steel ends, which connects to the bobbins, the S/S ends are tapered on the frame side which i issume that tightens up in the frame, mine sit out about 7mm each side, therefore i would think the engine would not be secure. Is this correct and would i need to machine them down to fit tight in the frame?

Many Thanks

I think mine stick out a bit from the frame, but they do not appear to move.

I fitted mine 2 months ago. I did mine with quite a bit sticking out on both sides, I just make sure I have torque the nut to the required torquage, that should be enough to have the frame to hold the engine properly....

So far so good, the bike rides normal, so I guess I've done it right
