Hi Pomp1,
The weather is better here now so I have checked the wiring for you. So that you can not start the motor when the stand is down.
I used a relay fixed under the air filter.
Connection 30 goes to the starter motor cable which is cut into half. ( Red black on the wiring diagram from starter switch).
Connection 87 also goes to the other half of the starter motor cable ( to make a circuit)
Connection 86 with a 7.5 amp fuse to the brown power cable which comes from the General relay. ( I used one of blue connectors blocks) This supplies the power for the relay.
Connetor 85 goes to the power feed on the sidestand switch. (when the eclectricty in this circuit the relay does not allow the starter switch complete a circuit hence the starter does not work when side stand down)
