Still thinking of getting an 1100 or a 696 (can't decide 696 seems underpowered 1100 overpriced) . Are there any crash bungs out there yet other than the R&G's. Don't like them at all.
And has anyone have any experience with the lowered seat of the 1100?

Cheers Stu

I say 696, worth the saving and still enough power for the road, but after the S2R1000 Stu it will feel less powerfull. But it may be more fun as it could be more useable power.

Have you taken one out ? I think the 1100 is expensive compared to what else is on the market and to be honest I think the S2R1000 is the better looker and better equipment in things like foot pegs etc. But I would have killed for the M1100 wheels.

Hi Pel, cheers for that, am going to arrange a test for the 696 for tomorrow. Another problem with the 1100 is that it's too high, and they won't deliver with a lowered seat, have to buy it as an accessory so that's more expense.....(and an alarm because it lives on the street...
As long as I'm not disappointed in the power I'll probably go for the 696, maybe with another rear sprocket en the stainless termi's.
It's getting more and more difficult to use the power of a big bike anyway, but the cheaper insurance and better fuel consumption are quite appealing......
