I eventually got hold of a DP carbon steering damper for my 2001 S4 (actually ended up with 2 - long story). It's made by FG Engineering and sits between the tank and the clocks "up top" rather than a side mounted one.
Anyway, I need a new (or non-broken) clamp which attaches the damper to the V bracket. Part number is Y298166 and internal diameter is 24.7mm and it takes a single 8mm bolt (according to the engineering diagram whcih came with one of the kits).
Can anyone point me in the right direction for locating on of these brackets - many thanks.
