hi guys, started my 695 up today, started 1st time :chuckle:
i had to open the tank up to remove the trickel charger, i noticed a strong smell of petrol, and there was a pipe hanging down, i cant see where it would plug in. its a smallish pipe coming from the bottom of the tank, its about 1cm in diameter, i started the bike up to make sure that prove that its not a petrol feed. am i right in thinking that its some kinda of airfeed? and where would i put it :S
just wanna go for a ride 2morrow cos my tax is starting 2morrow !!!!

Sounds like the overflow from the filler cap or the breather from the cap.
The 2 pipes are usually joined into a single pipe under the tank which then just drains under the bike engine.

Hope this helps

Do check - this should be as I said before - 2 pipes into one, then exiting under the bike.
You can strap it to the inside of the frame to keep it tidy.
Tho only prob is that if you dont attach it and then overfill your bike - fuel will run all over the back of your engine & over the exhaust pipe - which isnt such a good idea if engine/pipes are hot............

should go between the back of the engine and the swingarm suspension attachment.
