No, not a sexual question...

I have managed 27 miles on my 696 after the reserve light came on...not because I wanted too, but because there wasn't a petrol station!!
What about you?

Mine did 5 ! and left me road side for 2.5 hours, use your trip meter and refuel every 100 miles is my advise or you could be going for a walk.

Managed 24 on my 695 once, never been so relieved to see a Total petrol station roll in to view!

On the S4R the light started flashing on and off intermitantly, staying on after a couple of miles and went another 21 before a petrol station turned up. Didn't conk out but she must have been running on vapours :)

They all vary due to tank size, where the reserve light sensor is set, and way the bike is ridden. Best way to find out for sure is to strap a jerry can on the back, and ride it steadily on reserve until it conks out. At least you'll then know how much you have in reserve.

Similar - did 28 miles the other morning - only put 14 litres in so in theory I had another litre, which I guess to be around 10-12 miles more.

When I'm commuting, I ride til the fuel light comes on because I know where the fuel stops are (by coincidence the longest gap is 28 miles). But if I'm somewhere strange, I'll fill up at the first place after around 120 miles although overall I can probably get 160-170 miles off a tank.

Sorry to be so sad knowing this, but my worst nightmare is to run out of fuel in the middle of nowhere when out on my own.
