Hi Y'All

Anyone know where I can get hold of a twin front disc brake upgrade for my Monster 600 (2000 model)?

Cheers

the caliper from a cagiva mito is the same. does your fork leg have mountings for the caliper ?

Serviceable discs come up on eBay regularly starting from around £30 each, a 2nd hand master cylinder from a twin disc model from around the same price and buy a set of braided hoses. On a 2000 model your wheel should have a pop-off plastic cover which once removed reveals holes for 6 disc mounting bolts and another plastic cover on the fork reveals the caliper mountings.

I have a set of forks spare that have both caliper mounts - they'll need new seal and are a little tired but open to offers

You could even go for the fully floating discs from a 916 (cast iron ones), even the calipers swap over!

It is a great upgrade!

I've just upgraded to Galfer discs and pads, so depending on which size discs you're after you could possibly buy my old ones, they're off a twin-disc 620, they're 320mm.

The gold on the carriers is a little scruffy in places but other than that they look fine and the pads have about 3.5-4mm in them.
