Hi all,

About time I said hello. Bought a 2003/2003 620S.i.e 3 weeks ago and am totally in love. Commuting 80 miles each way to work in Guildford. This is a return to biking after about 6 years off with very small children. My wife gave me permission to have a bike as long as it didn't have racing fairings and my backside was lower than my wrists. To be fair she had just cause for this statement as my previous bike was an R6 and I failed to impress her one night following her home in her Ford Galaxy, I entered a roundabout behind her at 30 m.p.h and left in front at 70 m.p.h :twak:

Hello there Ian and a very big welcome to the Club.
If there's anything you need answering just ask away. We do it all here, trackdays, days out to Europe, Weekenders, rideouts, racing, the lot.

Thanks for the huge welcome folks! Well if I was doing the commute on the R6 I would probably be crying. It was a fun bike and could do really stupid things without breaking a sweat but built for comfort it was not and the handling compared to the Monnie seems second rate, although it isn't really. Cornering seems easier on the Monnie, maybe because of the lower revs and less of a gyroscope effect from the engine trying to keep you up, not that I am a knee down kind of guy but I do appreciate not having to fight on tight bends.

Leatherhead, that will be where getgeared are based :-) Had to pickup a tank back from there at the weekend so I could safely transport my shinny laptop.

Hooray another Kentie!

Since when was Hastings in Kent?

Greetings Willobs! I'm your friendly Sussex rep, so keep an eye out for things going on this year (hopefully more than last year...).

My first monnie was a 2003 620ie. You missed out the msot important detail about the bike - what colour is it?

Hi Sazza,
It is in the Senna colours, Grey with red wheels. I am close enough to through rocks at the Kenties though :-)

Nice - I always like the senna colours.

Throwing rocks at kenties? So that's what East Sussexites get up to! I might be coming over to hastings on the 15th March - not on the bike unfortunately, but I'm probably doing the half marathon there. Yikes!
