View Full Version : * UKMOC - Track day BOOKING THREAD

ok, Here we go !!

When and Where?
The track day will be held at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire on MONDAY AUGUST 3RD 2009.

Who is running the trackday?
The track day itself will be run by RAPID TRAINING UK.
I have reserved a block of spaces on behalf of the UKMOC and those spaces will be sold on a first come/first served basis. Any additional demand will be placed on a waiting list.
Rapid Training will be running this as a normal track day & there will be other riders there, but we hope to take up a large portion of the spaces just for the UKMOC.

They are very experienced company and I’ve used them a number of times before & have found them one of the best. There will be a minimum of two instructors per group riding around to help riders. Here’s a weblink to their Trackday advice document:

COST £115 per person.

The UKMOC allocation will only cover the Novice and Intermediate groups.
Anyone wishing to join the Experienced group will have to book directly with
Rapid Training on a first come/first served basis.

I've attached a word document with all the details you'll need for the time being and payment details to reserve your space.
It may seem ridiculously early in the year to be thinking about it, but summer dates get sold out VERY quickly and Cadwell Park in particular because it's one of the best tracks in the U.K.

LET'S MAKE THIS A TRACKDAY TO REMEMBER ! :yoparty:

Trackdays are like buses, there are none for 6 months then two come along at the same time!

Is it for Monsters only, or are are we allowed to take other Ducatis?

I'll do it too if I can use a 600SS?

Also, for anyone that's interested, the Desmodue race series is running there on Sunday 2nd, so why not make a two day event?

That's a really good idea Zimbo.
I'm sure the 600SS would be ok, but you'll probably be best to check with the people the people at Rapid Training directly, gary@rapidtraining.co.uk.

As far as I am aware it just needs to be in good mechanical order and make it under the noise limit of 105 dbs.
And I'm pretty sure you'd be in the 'experienced group' so you should then just book through their website to secure your space directly as I'm just holding novice and imtermediate spaces.
Cheers.

Hi J.P., how many places left? I really wanted to go, but I have no leathers... I am budgeting a set of leathers + possible a European trip this summer, it is going to be tight.

How much more time can I think about this?

J.P
09-02-2009, 02:41 PM
You've got a couple of months mate, but it's on a first come first served basis so I can't hold any spaces for the block I've got. I'm sure it'll be fine, just don't eat as many croissants....

yantheman
09-02-2009, 03:19 PM
Cheers, J.P, I think I will know in early April if I can afford a set of leathers and and trip to Europe... and see which one is more important if I cannot afford both :) Will post cheque/Paypal you if I know for sure what is happening.

J.P
09-02-2009, 03:29 PM
ok Yan. Can be a set of yip together leathers for the track, no need for a full one piece set.

Thanks J P, I'm sure the SS will be no problem with Rapid Training, I was more concerned that it would be ok with the UKMOC as it's not strictly a monster!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,
I was informed by Rapid Training today that they have already completely sold their total allocation of INTERMEDIATE spaces for the August 3rd track day at Cadwell Park and are already turning people away. That means the only person with spaces is ME !
The same could well happen with the Novice spaces as we get into the springtime, so guarantee your slot with me soon....

Still plenty of space in the Novice Group.

I REALLY WANT TO GET MORE NOVICES INVOLVED TO MAKE IT A GREAT FUN DAY SO KEEP 'EM COMING PLEASE.

Hi JP

Also i have no leathers either, is it the case of no lethers no ride?

Cheers

J.P

J.P

18-03-2009, 04:40 PM
Ok then, anyone recommend a leather shop

J.P
18-03-2009, 04:44 PM
Might be an idea to keep your ear open for Bike shows where their might be a bit of a discount, otherwise it the usual suspects for shops I guess.

Any spaces left? Anyone going up from London?

J.P

No spaces on the group that I had reserved, total of 14 of us going up.
Try calling Rapid Training direct and get yourself on the reserve list, they have cancellations occasionally. Good luck.
