My rev counter doesn't work, I've checked the wiring it's all plugged in and there is power from the red and black wiring at the clock end, not really sure how to check the gray wire properly has anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

That wouldn't be an electronic one would it?
Has it been twtching?? Not completing its wipe at start up??
If you get a yes to these then the little driver servo has died.

Its not likely to be a fault on the data bus wire or the ignition would be a bit stuffed too. I think the signal wire should just send pulses so youd need an ossiliscope on it to check they are there and the pulse rate rises along with the revs.

The pink arguement may just be a little bit of a co-incidence, maybe.....
