Ask Gilps, he's got experience of tie-downs.:hissy:

I used these from Motrax to transport my bike to southern France, they are real heavy duty & work really well.

Don't remind me. Thankfully it was not my bike that fell off the trailer, just some old nail. I still have nightmares about it now.
Whatever you buy, don't get cheap ones off ebay. It's just not worth the risk. I use decent ones now from Bikeit.

I like the look of these thanks.
Am I right in thinking that the second strap just runs over the top yoke but the cuffs are put over the handlebar grips?

Buying reasonable qulaity does pay with these, I've still got some that are working fine after 20 something years.. LOL Really just too tight to get any more really

It would appear so staff, looking at the additional images on their site

In addition fit at least two pair - I usually fit three pair - you can't be too careful.

......Machine Mart. They do packs of 4 for £19.54. Cheap but good quality.

Remember when on the trailer....put the bike in gear and tie the front brake level back with rope or tie rap or similar (plus knife so you can cut off!)

A handle bar strap can be had for about £10 from M&P or Busters, but on a Monster I use the plastic coated hooks around the trellis frame and never had a problem (no marks/scratches)

Mark

Cheeky bugger.........lol

Another vote for the Motrax ones here, used them on two bikes in a van on the way to WDW in 2007.

Cheers,
