Hello and Happy New Year to all!!!!

Just a quickie.. does anyone know where/if I can get some hand guards for my 696 that don't look too ugly? I've had a quick look through the old threads but can't find anything about these. I've already bout some Hein Gericke 3 fingered gloves that help (I know they make you look stupid! - That's why I want hand guards to hide them!)

Cheers you wise old owls!:eyepopping:

Hi, happy NY from a new member.
I'm interested in these if anyone finds out anything? I have sent them an email to see if they fit.

Yep, I was checking those out too, if they get back to you let us know. What I'd really like are some that look like the mirrors and the closest are the KTM ones but they are £60.

Here's the site of the company in the states that I got them from.

After ordering they arrived in a week and I didn't have any duty to pay. Forrest is the guy to make contact with, a really useful and helpful bloke who I think rides a duke. They do have a number of guards etc to have a look at but I think the Zeta ones were the best I found for the Naughtybike.

They do look good and Zeta is a top brand I am told, the US Multistrada boys use them a lot..
Yours look like they have built in indicators? is this so?? Were they expensive, if you don't mind me asking!

Lucati,
I will post if I hear anything; i thought for 15 quid you can't go far wrong?

They do have built in flashers but you can buy without

The hand guards (annodized metal bits) are $74 the protectors (plastic front bits) are $20 without flashers and $52 with. The prices are for pairs in each case. If you need the extenders (shiney silver bits that connect mine to the bars at the front) then these are available. Mine came with the extended instead of the standard.

Well put it this way when it comes to mechanical stuff I really am a total novice yet I managed to do it and replace the handlebars, grips etc and change the wiring on the existing indicators to the new ones. I would have to say it is very easy.

1 clamp onto the bars one bolt into the end of the bars. possibly a bit of a cut in the end of the grip if the hole is not already there. The metal guards came with two sizes of bolts for the ends to fit both sizes of bar diameters.

Thanks squiffy..

Lucati,
I had a reply and he doesn't know if they will fit...."There is a fitting kit for 22.2mm (7/8") Handlebars and both 14mm bar ends"
So I need to check the size of the 696 bars....

Cheers all, my hands feel warmer just at the thought of them!!!

I'm having a bit of trouble getting used to the three fingered gloves I bought last week (keep going for the break one fingered which is impossible!) so the guards are now even more needed than ever.
