This looks like a handy bit of kit. Any comments?

At least they're honest and class it as 'consumable', my experience of similar things is you have to throw them away fairly regularly if you use a conventional lube rather than dry lube.

Looks pretty good - but quite pricey for what it is. I think I'll stick to using a toothbrush.....

there's nowt wrong with useing an old tooth brush, this bit of kit looks an expensive way of cleaning a chain to me.Use once and throw away.

Looks like a well designed bit of kit. Surplus to requirements for me as you can see from my signature, but those still coating chains with black glue could find it useful? :fou:

Scottoiler lubes and cleans at the same time. After washing bike all I do is give it a wipe off with a rag to dry it, then apply oil from a can to stop rollers rusting. Trike has now done 11000 miles on it's DID X-ring chain, which was adjusted for the 3rd time in September.

I rest my case M'lud

Absolutly, an enclosed chain case would be even better

It's something I actually considered making for the trike, but ran out of time on original build and made do with a DIY top guard. It's not the easiest thing to keep clean with extra tubing for subframe, and diff/chain running in middle. The enclosed case may still happen eventually... watch this space.

I use this set to clean and oil the chain. It cleans and oils the chain, removing the problem of excess oil so there are no spray over the tires etc.

If anybody is interested in one I could buy it for them and send it over by post after receiving the money.
