unlocking code for a samsung on virgin mobile

I bought an Asda mobile sim card for just 50p as they offer 8p per minute calls & 4p texts to any network which is pretty good. However, they use the Vodafone network & I am not sure how well it works in my area. Virgin want £15 for the unlock code which seems a bit steep, especially if I don't switch after all if the signal is poor.

Can anyone help?, there seem to be a few unlock on line services for around £2, are they trustworthy?

I used a company called Green Light in 2006 and had no probs getting the un-lock code for my Samsung on Vodafone, it cost me about four or five quid and took about 20 mins in all.
I just did a search for Green Light but can't find them, maybe gone bust!!?
Just do a search for the un-lock code for your phone model, most of them are ok, you can usually tell if they are a bit iffi, the web design looks crap.
