Hey, I like the way you're thinking.

I think 3 would be a perfect number JP if you could get away with it i could use you as the test case for me getting a 3rd bike heehee:woot:(still cheaper than 1 poxy horse and less dangerous...)

And in case anyone comes across this thread by chance,
I LOVE MY WIFE MORE THAN ANYTHING.
In order of preference it would be
Wife, Kids, Ducati Monster S4R Testastretta, Cheese salad sandwich.

What, comapred to a Multistrada ?
And isn't that the reaction lots of people had to the new 696 when the pictures first started to appear ?

Hmmm...

Not sure about it - has a few nice features

Gap between seat & tank looks stupid. Fairing is too small, radiator, swingarm & air scoops too big. Looks like front wheel is smaller than back - but may just be tyre size?

It might beat the monster on horses but it definitely does beat it on looks:

True, the bars to look a little hight. I do like the superbike rear seat though.

The pictures were taken from leslie link to an Italian website........... looks like we will just have to wait, unless anyone can find any real spy shot lying around.

word earlier this year was that the bike wouldn't be a naked 1098 but something with 'funny bars' - direct quote.

i know what your saying and the multi is an ugly pig but I honestly think the pic of the maybe
Street Fighter is uglier by a long way.

look at the Hyper really pretty and tidy, the street fighter is to cluttered IMO

I agree with Fatbloke - it looks sh!t, even if it is a badly cobbled together photoshop lash-up...

Bimota do this thing so much better...

...just been in the Ducati dealer in Las Vegas today, where they had the whole range of Bimota's too - including the new DB7 (1098 engine) and the DB5, the naked DB6 (Delirio), plus a Tesi 3D - total motorbike porn!

The bike in the photoshop picture looks a bit too weedy - it's not masculine enough for a streetfighter.
The Bimota beats its appearance hands down , as does the S4RS.

And the hyper is sooooo pretty

it will be interesting to see if the finished bike looks anything like the photoshop image.

No, this is a new kind of ugly. It's ok though, all Italian motor manufacturers are allowed to produce a dog every now and then.

Any dissenters out there who have an issue with the (or a) radiator, like to suggest an alternative form of water cooling. It's not an air cooled bike, so the plumbing is a necessary evil, period, and the air cooled range of engines, do not cut it, if the much bandied target power output of 140bhp for this new model is to be believed.

J.P
30-10-2008, 12:10 PM
The Streetfighter should make 140 bhp in its sleep. The 998 Testrastretta does that now with only a little tweeking.

I hope those pictures aren't the real thing because it just looks like a Multistrada with a few pointy bits.
