Going to get some new funky mirrors, do I need the M10 or M8 thread for my 2004/5 M620?

Thanks.

Not sure of thread size but you wil need one with lefthand thread and don't forget the locking nuts.
I have just taken some very very nice dpm billit ally mirrors off my bike to sell (to help fund new clutch and mods on my bike) if you are intrested i could try and post some pics and think of a price.....

Without sounding dumb, how would I know if the new one had left-hand thread?

Yes, post some pictures or a link to some on t’net

Most right hand mirrors have a left hand thread(i think) left hand nuts have a small groove cut into the face on the outside so you can see before you undo them.

I bought some 'golf club' mirrors from this site;
http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/pc1.html
The mirrors, came with 2 different sizes of studding, so I could fit them straight on my bike.

You could buy a M8 and M10 bolts to check.

Thanks, they look nice, but am looking for some a bit low-profile looking.

Have since found out that the right hand mirror is left-hand thread and the left mirror is right-hand thread apparently like most other bikes and that the bolt size is M10.

I bought some mirrors from the same site, got the ones directly under the ‘Golf club’s, they’re similar but slightly lower profile.

Both arrived with scratched plastic housings, the site sent me out another pair and one of those is even worse!?. I appreciate £15 each is relatively cheap and you pay for what you get but I’d expect them not to be scratched so I have had to send both pairs back!!

Did you have any problems?

Any other ideas of where get some similar? Just fancy some plain thin stalks with smallish plain black housings.

Have just ordered some DP versions specifically for the Monster so job done, they’re £45 each I think so more money than the cheapos I’ve just sent back but not as dear as say the Rizomas.

A little bit slow sorry, my mirror's seemed pretty good quality and no scratches being metal. The problem I get with mine is I only get a good view of my elbows, but they look good..............

And exactly why I’m changing my standard Mickey Mouse jobs.

You could have had mine(dpm) for £50.00 the pair (cost £120) still see your elbows but they look very nice on the bike.(just changed cos going cafe racer on mine)
