Anyone had any dealings or is it r&g all the way?

they do look a little unsubstantial

they look a bit flimsy like you say though i've no experience of anything other than r&gs. 59 quid plus a tenner p&p - you'd be better off going the extra tenner or so and buying r&gs which have a good reputation.

Get this month's Performance Bikes for 3 quid, there's a crash bungs test in it.

£59 plus £10 postage???

seriously somebody is having a laugh

how much does it actually cost to make these??

what is the plastic stuff made out of??

I have a lathe in the shed and could knock some of these up for next to nothing

Usually a hard grade of nylon on an aluminium core.

When you consider the damage even a low speed off would cause

Tank, engine cases etc... they are a worth while investment

Just a new tank will set you back almost a grand

Get your local friendly dealer to order the R&Gs for you, as they get a trade discount... but even without that, they're £70 in the shops, so the same money as those in your link.

are the crash bungs easy to fit or do people normally get a dealer to fit them?

and where exactly do they go? is there more than one place you're meant to put them?

the trade price for the R&g's is £50.
there isnt much room for a dealer to disciunt them. taking vat and shipping .

They usually fit on the upper front engine mount. The long stud replaces original mounting bolt with bungs fixed to the ends. Not sure if 696 is the same as it has a different frame?
