Odd that they have stuck with single sider on the 1100?

Silver/red combo looks nice - reminds me of the MV Brutale for some reason

......the frame tubing is too big......looks more like scaffolding instead of a proper trellis frame. Still an ugly duckling in my eyes......

The frame has been beefed up on the 848/1098 series as well in comparison to previous models 999, 998, 996, 916 etc. and yet still lighter than these earlier examples. Higher torsional rigidity but less weight. It is not quite as noticeable on these models as it is on the Monster, since less of the frame is on display. I am not that bothered by it. The end cans are the biggest eye sore for me. Ditch those and the awful plastic mirrors, plus a few other minor OEM parts that could happily go in the bin and it would look pretty damn good. Not as good as this puppy though...........

Completely agree with ED. I can see where you're coming from GT - also reminds me of the Brutale.

Just one thing - HOW GOOD would that look in gloss black, with those silver wheels/gold forks?
I like black bikes in general, I reckon they've missed a trick there......

I think the red one would look better with black wheels.

I like the white one in Ed's pic - very tasty - and of course significant bling.

So - this is the monster with the Hypermotard lump in it - I think I might lose my head from a rapid standing start - it'll be a grunty thing to beat all other grunty things I reckon, I love the Hyper[s engine and it always makes me smile like a lunatic ( no need to comment...) whenever I ride it - even to Satansbury's for my shopping.

The new look monster has certainly grown on me - and I do like the gold wheels and red bike - very nice. How much?

A Guy In A Ducati Dealer Told Me For The S Model Your Looking At Around £8000-£8500,he Said It Will Be Definatly Cheaper Than The Hyper.

Which should make a 1100 around £7000 to £7500.that will do me,after all will end up spending another £1000 on bling !

Will next year bring either 848 or 1098 engined versions?

I wonder!? hmmmmm!!

Then maybe they will stop production of the 695/s2r/s4r/s range?

I've been thinking about the M1100 and reckon i'll prob get one next spring, if anyone has anymoney left by then, gulp. But while i was googling it I found htis test by journo Kevin Ash who looks like he's got his own site, and there are loads of really good pics on there, its funky the way they pop up. He seems to rate it anyway, and he's also promising the first 1198 test too. heres the link http://www.ashonbikes.com/node/198
Hi everyone btw!
