If you have a fuel injected Monster with a factory immobiliser, you'll need to hide the old clocks somewhere on the bike or replace the stock ECU.

DWR Motorcycles (Aylesbury) is a certified installer of translogic
as slob says if its a fuel injected model the ecu will need to be changed (very expensive but very good)

But if its a carbi bike the translogic dash is easy to fit if your not frightened of chopping into your loom, however its a complete bitch to set up.....

If you don't need the old clocks then the board could be put into a thinner box, that assumes you remove the dials etc.
Maybe one day I'll sit down with an old clock circuit board and see what you can chop off. If you aren't using it as a light repeater or for any clock functions then it should be possible to make it a few IC's big maybe 2" square and tuckable well out of the way somewhere.
It's only large to start with so it can mount the clock dial drivers to fit the dials
