Yesterday myself Gadget and Jerry went to Brands full gp trackday.
wow what a track and what a fun day,Gadget as always was going well in the inters on his 600 monnie, jerry was having his bike setup sorted and was going well(as you should on a bike with all that bling) and I was having my first trackday on the 750ss (should have been its 5th) after all the problems I have had with it. so the weather was good the track fab and we all had a great day.the ss worked well all day and after a nervous few sessions i started to settle in to the new bike, and was faster by the end of the day on the ss than I have ever been on the 900ie monster.
All i need now is to look out for some mods and setup advice from the DD racers(maybe so good second hand spares)

Don't worry Scrapps. There's going to be 200 Monster owners this weekend who can all give you advice !

ah yes, fantastic day. Great spending time with you guys again and I seriously hope Gadget doesn't get something with more power than his 600 - he'll take on the world! I can only imagine how fast he rides around London... That GP circuit is awesome - really fast in places, but you need to just hang on and tip it in. The straight before Clearways always had me slowing too much

Good to see the SS going round - you looked good there. MonstaTom was riding his 750 Monnie on the Indy circuit last year and was put into Fast - did well, overtaking a lot of bikes all over the circuit, so there's no reason to get something with more power.

And, BTW, there's no bling on asbo - it's all functional :chuckle: I just want to do it all again.

You must post up some pics if you have any. Jerry have you any of ASBO.

What a tiring circuit. I could hardly move in the morning.
The longer track is not really good for the smaller engined bike I ran out of legs on the long straights.
But I'd do it again.;)
I need to improve my line into some of the turns.
Scrapps did brilliantly on his ss and I only noticed Jerry once on the track and that was when he over took me going down pilgrims. Surtees is a corner that needs a lot of work. I grounded my gear change more than once on that. I need some rearsets.:freak:
Kato turned up on his lovely bike and there where quite a few other Ducatis there.

yes, it was good to see Kato out and about. Been spending far too much time on the wifes bike.

I need to get out again before the end of the year. Looking for a day somewhere for fun.

So, the moral of the story is: don't buy a bike and plan to upgrade at some point - you'll upgrade sooner than you think!
