Been offered a chain/sprocket kit for the M1000 at £45. Is it worth it, or are there better/cheaper alternatives?

Chances are if it "genuine" it could be an endless chain, you may end up taking the back end of the bike apart to fit it.

£45 is cheap, but the standard chain and sprockets are still rubbish. As Slob said, I'd go for Tsubaki similar.

I'd go for the heaviest duty gold x-ring I could find, it'll cost twice us much as a standard one but will last at least 3 times as long.

And don't forget to fit a scottoiler

Light blue touch paper and retire to a safe distance.

There are people advertising in MCN selling gold X-ring chain and sprocket kits for £80. That's where I will get mine from (And always have in the past)
