33bhp restrictor kit on 696

Im considering getting a new monster 696 but I would have to put a restrictor kit on it. I have heard some people say that this can damage the engine! Does anyone know if thats true or if its even possible to have one put on the 696?

A restrictor kit should be possible to buy direct from the dealership you buy the bike from. If I'm correct, I may not be, the restrictor kit only stops the throttle opening fully, thus restricting the power, so it shouldn't damage the engine. But again the dealership should be able to help you, it's in their interest to get you on the bike anyway !
