Hi,
My bike is not well today. Pulled out of a junction and I noticed a marked loss of power, the engine sounds muffled and as I limped home it mis fired 2 or three times.

Had this bike for over a year and never had any problems, was serviced about a month ago. Any idea's ?
Many thanks

Check plugs first.

I took the plugs out this morning and they look just fine. I went for a 20 min ride and everything was back to normal, no problems at all.

It was raining last night, is it possible some water got somewhere it shouldn't and its since had time to dry out ? I've heard that monsters don't like the rain, has anyone experienced anything similar ?

Cheers

4 year old HT leads, possibly misfiring on the front cylinder where water's sprayed up off the front wheel?

It probably just got wet and didnt like it.
water runs down between the tank and the seat and gathers in a puddle under the seat. where electrical things live.
I dunno if the 620 is like that.
But i spent a weekend with a hair dryer and silicone grease drying out my 600 after a trip through the lake district.

Buy a can of ACF50 and douse everything with it. Be it electrical or metal. It is the dog's doodaahs at keeping moisture and corrosion at bay.

Can vouch for that. Fantastic stuff. Mind you keep it off the engine/hot parts - smokes like hell.
