I have wanted to smarten up the rear of my bike with some modification for a while now, and after much deliberation I have decided that the standard tea tray has to go. I have tried a DP carbon tea tray, but it didn't fit (apparently fits bike up to 2000), so am after some advise about alternatives.

I don't really like the full tail chop and am not overly keen on cutting my frame so was hoping someone could advise on any alternatives - smaller tea trays, indicators, etc.

I know there have been hundreds of post's regading tail chops in the past but I've had a quick look and can't really seem to find any solutions....Help!

There are tea trays that are shorter and fit tight at the ends of the frame.
think they are for pre 2000 . its a four bolt fitting anyways
I'm not sure if they exist for later ones.
Spareshack or somplace similar would be a good place to ask.

Yeah - something like that would look pretty good. Sadly can't stretch to that price though....

I have this one from Shift Tech. You just have to drill your own indicator holes. I have left my standard ones on, and it dont look too bad!

But you do need to trim part of the frame off for it to fit.

Hi sebuk i just looked at your pic on the for sale section.
If all thats stopping that lovely tea tray fiting is the holes in the wrong place then make new ones.

I was hoping I could modify the tray to fit, but unfortunately it seems to be too narrow to actually fit over the two protruding parts of the frame so I don't think there's anything I can actually do to make it fit. Shame though, as it is nice and I had wanted one for ages - was quite gutted when I couldn't get it to fit!
