Hi all,

I have 2 early 600 monsters, both with the older mechanical speedo's.
Is it possible to fit the later electronic clocks to the earlier bikes?
Obviously there will be some wiring changes, and the need for a speed sensor. Thats not a problem as I'm an avionic engineer for BAe systems.
My main concern is the imobiliser-ecu link. Does the ecu get a signal from the clocks or vice-versa? Can the clocks be used without the dedicated inputs from the engine ecu? Should I bother?
Does anyone have a spare set?

I wouldnt bother as the signal comes from the ignition key to the clocks & then to ecu & then back to the clocks to energise the system.

I used the MH900e dash - more like the 999 clocks (it is digital) and it doesnt have a security system so you can use your std key. The only downside is the revcounter may not pick up the signal from the ignition relays on the carbie models. I tried using a later rev counter on a 2001 600 carbie & they didnt pick up the signal properly - tho maybe you could build a converter for the signal?
