Really sorry for the delay in the jack up kits getting made, I am flat out with work and house building and the machine shop that turn them are even busyer than me!!! But they are now ready for dispatch. Due to metal cost, they are slightly more than the last lot, but are made from a slightly better quality stainless (316 marine quality) If anyone wants to ride their monster in the sea, the jack up kits will survive, leaving you with peace of mind that you will have something to sell on when everything else has rusted away?
Total cost to your door is £25.85
Oh..... for those who dont know what they are, a screw in fitting for the Ducati rear A arm to enable rear suspension raiseabilty, combined with the front fork dropped through the yokes equals raised up bike. This makes bike feel "like a real big bike" and handle better (so they say)
Caution. Not suitable for Gilps type people or others with only 12inch inside leg measurement.

This may have been asked before, but i cant find it, why when you jack it up on a 900 does a 15t front sprocket rub against the swing arm? (Not in a good way)

I have combatted this by removing a bit of the swing arm!

No good on post 2001 bikes, which have a tie rod rather than a hoop as a rear suspension linkage. Both S2R and S4R should have an adjustable tie rod which allows you some adjustment. (S4 definitely does, I'm fairly sure S2x do)

I have done an S4 and its a 5 hour job but worth it.

Is it really difficult to fit the kit or is the difficulty in actually raising the front forks to match? I guess by dropping the top of the forks through the yoke it raises the height.

I am wondering if this is modification is within my spanner weilding ability.

You don't need one, your S2R has an adjustable tie rod already

For me at 6'4'' it worked well, the back was raised and i put the forks flush with the top yoke. It increased ground clearance a bit and i felt the bike rode a bit better for it.............but each to their own and all that..........

The one thing it doen't change though is the peg to seat height so if your as lanky in the leg as me you'll still look like you're riding a mini moto!!!

what does the kit consist of?. new rose joints lh & rh thread or are they spacers in which the existing adjustsers screw into?.

I'm on the look out for some neat rear sets, if i dont find any, i'll design some and get them made. I have Sil high levels so i think it would be neat to get rid of the standard peg hangers and open up the back end, especially if stood higher with the spacers...

I know what you mean like riding a mino moto, just rode round france, 2200miles in total and my knee's are kerputt!!!!.
