Well, this is all a bit sooner than expected, 14 weeks to be precise, but I am pleased to announce that I am now the proud father of Darcie Alice who was born on 13th at 00:41hrs. She was 2lb at birth and is, obviously, in the baby intensive care unit but is doing well. The doctors and nurses are pleased with her and have said that she is doing most of the breathing herself and her Sats are really good.

It all feels a bit weird at the moment, as if she isnt ours yet, but I am sure this will change the more we get to see her and hold her, eventually, and to change nappies etc.

But, none the less, I am chuffed to bits.

Will keep you updated as to how she is doing.

That's fantastic news and I hope she continues to improve.
2 lbs ! I've got socks heavier than that.

And a beautiful name too. I like the inclusion of the 'Alice' from Ducati obviously.

Congratulations and good luck, now it begins!
Trying to find time to go down the garage or ride the bike, sleepness nights,
lack of money etc. Still wouldn't be without my two for anything in the world!

Congratulations to you and wife. Treasure every baby minute, mine was 9 yesterday, and where those years have gone i dont know. Gone has the rattle to be replaced by a mobile phone.

Congrats! Hope both the mom and little baby Darcie are doing well. Great news that she can breathe unaided. Can't even imagine how tiny she must be, not much bigger than my hand, I'd imagine.

congrats! Being a father gives you a different outlook on life and it's well worth the sleepless nights.

Every parent like their kids to be advanced, but Sats already!!! Well done :D

Brilliant news. You'll be itching for her to walk then you'll have all the chasing around, then it'll be the, I wish she'd start talking and by the time she's 3 you'll wish you could get a word in edgeways! Hope all goes well and she's home soon.
