Silly question but standard black plastic (more like dark grey) looks rubbish, can you make it look any better? I wondered what autosol and an hour of elbow grease would do to it. The standard rear hugger, tea tray and stuff like that wouldn't look so bad if the plastic was a better finish?

Waddya think would happen?

Or just a good spraying of GT85...

I find that good old furniture polish makes the best of a bad job on the plastic hugger, tea tray etc...(make sure you avoid the seat)

Spray painted my cambelt covers today and have to say it looks the business. PD, having done the CB's am now very tempted to do the rear hugger.

For T-tray and other things such as side panels which you may not want to paint I'd go with Natty's suggestion. Works a treat.

I decided against it. Adhered without problems. Two coats so far and has survived October style rain and a 1/2 hour ride on regritted roads without any problems.

Have to admit I was a bit paranoid about not using it.

I painted CB covers a long time ago on kylie, after a while the paint started to crack and/or flake. Was told bumper paint was good though as its meant to flex more than normal.
Finding a carbon hugger for an old M600 - not easy me thinks, and don't want to paint it either, just not make it look crap.

Was a flip of a coin between Halford's Matt Black spray or the bumper spray can. The former won.

Motrax 645 Protect and Shine will work a treat and also bring your paintwork and exhausts up to a real deep shine.

I use it and it's brill!

Just don't get it on your seat!

I find a can of silicon spray brings most plastics back to black
